Newly opened atop Hotel Park Ave NYC in NoMad, Golden Child frames rooftop season with warm accents and signature style. The Ivy League–inspired menu features a cocktail program to match with syllabus subsections titled “Core Curriculum” through “Electives.” It’s relaxed but intentional, drawing from Renwick Hospitality team's in depth perspective on mixology , creating a social club in the sky. A few must-try highlights include the Golden Child Lunch Box featuring a gourmet PB&J with pear, brie, and jamón alongside a chocolate chip cookie and a boozy Capri Sun as well as the Golden Burger with double smashed patties and spicy dill pickle aioli, and the crispy calzone-style Margherita and Spicy Pepperoni Hot Pockets. Set 33 stories above Times Square, Voco Roofbar delivers a sleek, all-season vantage point with a retractable roof that keeps the skyline in play year-round. The atmosphere strikes a balance between polished and easygoing with Voco Roofbar’s tapas-style menu built for sharing. It features standout small plates like creamy taramasalata with tomato confit and pita, potato mille-feuille layered with Black Angus beef, beef tartare with ’nduja and tonnato sauce, sea bass ceviche with avocado and chili, wagyu souvlaki skewers with jalapeño-yuzu yogurt, and mini tacos filled with pulled Black Angus short ribs, alongside lighter options like grilled baby gem with blue cheese and a vibrant quinoa salad with mango and wakame. Golden Hour at One40

Launching April 15th in the Financial District, Golden Hour at One40 Rooftop Restaurant dazzles with an open-air rooftop designed for sunset drinking. Visitors can expect a menu featuring pairings such as Golden Hour Martini & Kaluga Caviar, Warm Pommes Gaufrettes Paired with Altius Martini - Vodka, Gin, Italicus Bergamot, Pear plus shareables like a Deviled Eggs Flight and Fried Oysters with Lemon Aioli. The space, founded by Mona Panjwani, moves seamlessly from day to evening with a warm, textured design.

ART Midtown + ART SoHo

Perched above Arlo Midtown, ART Midtown remains a reliable draw for skyline views stretching from Hudson Yards to One World Trade. The menu blends crowd-pleasing bar fare with a raw bar and substantial handhelds, while the drink program keeps things light with spritzes and frozen cocktails. Delight in elevated bar fare with a strong mix of shareable bites and comfort-driven plates, ranging from marinated olives and candied nuts to crispy tater tots finished with porcini salt and harissa ketchup, alongside a standout giant smoked mozzarella stick served with a trio of sauces. Fresh and vibrant options include guacamole with grilled vegetable salsa while heartier selections include al pastor quesadillas, a rotating cheese and charcuterie board, and a trio of pizzas topped with everything from classic margherita to truffle cream, wild mushrooms and charred leeks.

At Arlo SoHo,  ART Soho operates as an all-day rooftop with both indoor and outdoor space overlooking the Hudson. The energy skews social, with cocktails available by the glass, pitcher, or tower—fruit-forward, unfussy, and built for socializing. A broad food menu and rotating DJs keep it in steady circulation from after-work through late night. The menu features elevated comfort bites like a cheeseburger or hot chicken sandwich alongside handhelds served with North Fork Long Island potato chips, including a hot chicken sandwich with house spices and pickles, a double cheeseburger or Impossible option with cherry pepper relish and grilled onions, and a lobster roll on a butter-toasted brioche bun with citrus aioli, plus shareables like grilled chicken wings finished with a 48-hour garlic brine, seasoning salt, and spicy ranch.

Elsie Rooftop

A few blocks from Bryant Park, Elsie Rooftop channels Old New York through an Art Deco lens. The setting is elevated without feeling rigid, pairing a classic-leaning cocktail list with elevated bar dishes including Wagyu sliders, tuna tartare, truffle fries. It’s as much about atmosphere as it is about the menu with weekly fun like salsa classes under the stars on Fridays and Bamboleo brunch offered on Sundays. The elevated cocktail program features house-crafted drinks that celebrate timeless elegance with a contemporary edge. The Elsie de Wolfe, a sparkling blend of Ketel One Cucumber & Mint, rose water, and Chandon rosé, and the Botanical Delight, with its floral ice and fragrant mix of Ketel Orange Vodka, Ume Liqueur, and Crème Violet, bring a whimsical yet refined twist to classic flavors. For something bolder, the Smoked Old Fashion infused with Earl Grey tea or the Den Mule, made with Macallan 12-Year and smoky scotch, offer rich, layered profiles.

Fornino

At Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Fornino offers a sundrenched take on rooftop dining with epic views of the city from the waterfront. The draw is straightforward: an expansive menu of wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, Italian small plates, alongside lively views of Lower Manhattan and the harbor. It’s one of the few rooftops that works just as well for families as it does for sunset drinks. The First Generation selections honor classic Neapolitan tradition with options like the Margherita Classica, while the Second Generation turns to regional Italian favorites, ranging from the spicy Calabrese to the indulgent Funghi Misti with truffle, and the Third Generation presents Chef Ayoub’s original creations, featuring modern, expressive pies such as the Vodka Sauce and Sausage and the richly layered Pear and Coppa.

BarChef New York

BarChef brings a more experimental edge to Midtown South, with a rooftop that extends its multi-sensory cocktail program outdoors. Founded in Toronto by Netflix’s Drink Masters judge Frankie Solarik, the bar focuses on a multi-sensory cocktail program that combines modern culinary techniques with theatrical techniques like cryo-poaching. Think mojito pearls, citrus encapsulations, and a modernist kitchen counter where guests can watch it all unfold. Alongside inventive cocktails, the menu includes Japanese-influenced small plates and larger dishes. The rooftop serves as an extension of the bar’s creative cocktail program, bringing a laid-back atmosphere to evenings above the streets of Manhattan. 

Haven Rooftop

A long-standing fixture above the Sanctuary Hotel, Haven Rooftop draws a Theater District crowd with its French Riviera–inspired setting. The year round rooftop features two bars, a Modern American menu and a French Riviera-inspired atmosphere. Guests can savor tempting bites like classic sliders and tuna tartare, or dive into standout entrees such as Branzino and the signature 'Havenly' Chicken. Sip on creative cocktails like the Cloudtini while taking in sweeping views and sparkling lights.

Sushi Lab Rooftop

Also atop the Sanctuary Hotel, Sushi Lab Rooftop offers a more focused counterpoint: a garden-like setting centered on omakase. Guests can enjoy creative sushi offerings, Japanese fare, sake flights and handcrafted cocktails year-round from this garden inspired, zen oasis. The signature omakase experiences range from a curated selection of classic sushi to a more elevated progression featuring luxe ingredients like truffle and caviar. Starters highlight bright, clean flavors with dishes like hamachi with yuzu kosho, salmon belly with poached pear and truffle ponzu, and bluefin toro tartare, alongside crowd-pleasers like spicy tuna crispy rice and baked crab tacos. From the kitchen, offerings expand into heartier territory with honey soy glazed wings, dynamite shrimp, truffle shrimp pasta and a wagyu beef burger. The sushi program spans specialty rolls layered with ingredients like truffle miso, matcha rice pearls and wagyu, as well as pristine nigiri and sashimi selections. The menu is rounded out with indulgent bites like wagyu and uni pairings, a composed tuna flight and desserts including matcha crème brûlée and classic cheesecake, creating a well-balanced rooftop experience that moves seamlessly from light to decadent.
