New York City is awash in blue and orange today as hundreds of thousands of fans line the historic Canyon of Heroes to celebrate the New York Knicks' first NBA championship in more than five decades. The ticker-tape parade began at 10 a.m. near Bowling Green and travels north along Broadway through Lower Manhattan before culminating with a City Hall celebration and Key to the City ceremony. Officials have called it one of the largest parades in New York history, with millions of fans expected along the route.

Before heading downtown, Knicks fans can start the celebration with special Knicks-themed cupcakes available today at all Carnegie Diner & Cafe locations. The limited-edition treats are decorated in the team's signature blue and orange colors and make for an Instagram-worthy pre-parade snack.
Once you're near the parade route, there are plenty of great places to refuel. History buffs can grab a burger and a beer at Fraunces Tavern, one of Lower Manhattan's most iconic gathering spots located just steps from the parade's starting point. Those looking for a quick bite or espresso between festivities can stop by Eataly NYC Downtown for pizza, fresh pasta, sandwiches, and gelato near the World Trade Center portion of the route. For a more elevated post-parade meal, Maison Passerelle offers a stylish dining experience just off Broadway in the Financial District.
