New York Fashion Week is back—and this season, the city is making a particularly compelling case for its place at the center of American fashion. From heritage houses celebrating major milestones to a new generation of designers making their runway debuts, the catwalk promises a mix of fashion's established elite and the names poised to define what comes next.
Officially running September 10th through September 15th, NYFW will bring a packed roster of runway shows, presentations, celebrations, and off-calendar events across New York City. There are also several major shows taking place just before the official schedule begins.
Among the biggest storylines: Diane von Furstenberg's return to the runway under new creative director Henry Zankov, Tommy Hilfiger's return to the official calendar, Coach's 85th anniversary, Thom Browne's return to New York, and the NYFW debuts of international names including Sabyasachi.
But perhaps the most exciting part of this season is the new guard. Emerging designers—including CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists and designers arriving from London, Paris, Copenhagen, and beyond—are giving New York fashion a distinctly fresh energy.

NoMad — Italian
Tucked inside Hotel Giraffe NoMad, Audace pairs refined Italian cuisine with award-winning contemporary Neapolitan-style pizzas and a sophisticated cocktail bar, courtesy of native Italian restaurateur Mario Ursumando. The intimate dining room offers a relaxed pace, while the penthouse private event room — complete with high ceilings, a fireplace, and an open balcony overlooking Madison Park — makes for a more elevated celebration space.
NYFW Perk: Guests who present a Fashion Week show pass receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine with their meal, September 10th to 15th.
Near Rockefeller Center — Roman-inspired all-day dining
From restaurateurs Dario Asara and Corinna Bassetti Josi, Ginger brings healthy, sustainable, and predominantly organic Roman-inspired fare to Midtown — an easy refuel between shows. The menu spans homemade pastas, brick-oven pizzas, salads, and fresh-pressed juices and smoothies, all set beneath a striking Italian Liberty-style skylight with ornate, sweeping curves that flood the space with natural light.

36th Street, Midtown — Brazilian
More than a restaurant, Berimbau is a culinary and cultural hub from Rio-born restaurateur Mario de Matos, styled after Brazilian mid-century modernism with tropical hardwoods, terrazzo floors, and rope-woven ceilings. São Paulo-native and Michelin Bib-recognized Executive Chef Victor Vasconcellos explores Brazil's roots through Amazonian ingredients, delivering authentic, modern takes on classics like Picanha, Feijoada, and Pão de Queijo. A dedicated Caipirinha Bar and an upstairs listening room with live music round out the experience.

By Chef Regi Mathew — Kerala, India
One of New York's first restaurants dedicated entirely to Kerala's toddy shops — small, community-driven eateries known for their "touchings," or shared small plates. Chef Regi Mathew, celebrated for Kappa Chakka Kandahari, brings deep research and heritage to a menu spanning the seafood-rich backwaters of Alleppey to the hearty meat specialties of the Malabar and High Range regions.

Madison Avenue, Brookfield Place, SoHo, West Village — Northern Italian
Across four locations, Sant Ambroeus remains one of NYFW's most enduring gathering places for editors, designers, models, and creatives moving between morning cappuccinos, power lunches, and post-show dinners. Signature Northern Italian dishes are joined by the restaurant's iconic Princess Cake — the marzipan-covered dessert long synonymous with New York's fashion set.
West Village — French
An intimate French bistro framed by a breathtaking array of colorful flowers, Loulou serves signature dishes including Duck Leg Confit with apple-rosemary purée and gala chutney, a vegetarian-friendly Ratatouille, and Steak Frites. Downstairs, a vintage Coca-Cola vending-machine door on 8th Avenue leads to a hidden speakeasy.
Bryant Park, East Village, Greenwich Village — Italian
